LONDON (Alliance News) - Defence company Cobham PLC said Monday it will appoint the former administrator of the US Federal Aviation Administration to its board.
Effective later this week, on Friday, Marion Blakely will be made a non-executive director at Cobham.
Her administrator title at the US aviation administration was equivalent to chief executive officer. Blakely has also served as chairman of the US National Transportation Safety Board. She was also President and CEO of the Aerospace Industries Association of America.
Until June, Blakely was CEO, president, and chairman of Rolls-Royce North America Inc. At present she is a non-executive director at Alaska Air Group Inc.
Shares in Cobham closed up 0.6% at 123.98 pence on Monday.
