LONDON (Alliance News) - Coal of Africa Ltd on Wednesday said its water use licence for the Vele Colliery in the Limpopo Province of South Africa has been extended for another 20 years.
In addition, the licence has been amended in line with the requirements of the plant modification project ongoing at the colliery.
"We welcome this decision by the Department of Water and Sanitation as a confirmation of the progress made in the implementation of the co-existence model implemented at Vele Colliery, which seeks co-operation between mining, agriculture and heritage land uses," said Coal of Africa Chief Executive David Brown.
Shares in Coal of Africa were untraded on Wednesday, having last traded at 2.44 pence.
