(Alliance News) - Online trading platform provider CMC Markets PLC on Monday said it has appointed Brendan Foxen to the newly created role of chief technology officer.
The company said the new technology head role was created to ensure that CMC Markets' technology "remains at the forefront of the sector".
Foxen was previously chief technology officer of Contino, a digital transformation consultancy that specialises in transforming enterprises to accelerate delivery, impact and growth.
Chief Executive Officer Peter Cruddas said: "Brendan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to CMC and specialises in helping businesses innovate and fast-track growth through technology. His appointment is a further sign of CMC's ongoing commitment to innovation and will support the accelerated development of the many opportunities that are in the pipeline."
Shares in CMC Markets were down 1.7% at 322.50 pence each in London on Monday morning.
