LONDON (Alliance News) - The UK Competition and Markets Authority said Tuesday that it is assessing whether the acquisition by Moneysupermarket.com Group PLC of Decision Technologies Ltd will result in a "substantial lessening of competition" in the UK goods market.
Moneysupermarket.com agreed to acquire the home communications and mobile phone comparison business for GBP40 million in March.
The regulator's expected decision date is August 7.
Shares in the price comparison website were trading 0.2% down at 323.90 pence.
