LONDON (Alliance News) - The UK Competition and Markets Authority Wednesday said it is considering whether the acquisition of privately owned UK legal publisher Jordan Publishing Ltd by Reed Elsevier (UK) Ltd will lead to a substantial lessening of competition in the UK.
LexisNexis UK, part of RELX Group PLC, announced its plan to acquire Jordan Publishing last Thursday. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, and the deal is subject to regulatory review.
The deadline for comments under this consultation is July 28.
Shares in Relx are trading down 0.5% at 1,099.00 pence.
