LONDON (Alliance News) - Cloudbuy PLC Thursday said it has won a contract in conjunction with The Grass Roots Group PLC to launch an online healthcare marketplace for consumers in Northamptonshire with the county council.
The e-commerce software platform provider, which analyses company expenditure and works out ways to cut costs, said the care marketplace is expected to go live by April 1.
The marketplace will allow Northamptonshire's citizens to select and manage their healthcare online, although initially it will focus on the provision of social care.
Although the company did not provide financial details of the contract, it noted that local government spend on social care is over GBP20 billion, and the overall market is estimated at up to GBP100 billion.
Shares in Cloudbuy were trading up 5.2% at 48.40 pence Thursday morning.
