LONDON (Alliance News) - Cloud-based marketplace provider cloudBuy PLC said on Thursday it has won a contract with the University of Exeter to provide a new online e-marketplace system.
The system will provide a way for the university's staff to buy goods and services from a range of suppliers. cloudBuy will be partnering with EU-Supply to provide an e-marketplace and e-tendering capabilities.
The contract is for an 8-year period and will contribute revenue for the cloudBuy's current financial year, through the implementation and software licence support of the e-marketplace. cloudBuy did not disclose financial details of the contract.
"cloudBuy has extensive e-procurement functionality and a wealth of experience from projects in the Education sector. Exeter has a reputation as an innovator and we look forward to delivering a successful project together with the university and EU-Supply that will become an example of best practise in the Higher Education sector," said Lyn Duncan, cloudBuy CEO.
Shares in cloudBuy were down 3.7% Thursday morning at 3.25 pence.
