CloudBuy Gets Approved Supplier Status In Latest G-Cloud Round

23rd May 2014 10:07

LONDON (Alliance News) - CloudBuy PLC Friday said it had been recognised as an approved supplier for the latest round of the UK Government's programme to promote public sector adoption of cloud computing, G-Cloud, in each of the four lots of the framework.

In a statement, the company said it has been approved as a provider of infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, software as a service, and specialist cloud services in the fifth G-Cloud programme.

It added that it had benefitted from being involved in previous iterations of G-Cloud, generated about GBP600,000 worth of business through the software as a service lot this year.

"Once again we are delighted to be selected within all four lots of the G-Cloud framework. This initiative has transformed central Government IT procurement, and is starting to gain traction with the NHS, Education and Local Authorities," cloudBuy Chairman Ronald Duncan said.

CloudBuy shares were up 1.8% at 36.9 pence Friday morning.
