LONDON (Alliance News) - cloudBuy PLC said Tuesday that it has been appointed to the UK Government's Local Authority Software Applications framework.
The four-year framework replaces the current Local Government Software Application Solutions framework, which came to an end in July 2014.
The framework will be complementary to the UK Government G-Cloud, said cloudBuy, an initiative targeted at easing procurement by public sector bodies in departments of the United Kingdom Government of commodity information technology services that use cloud computing.
LASA contracts will be business-critical and have contract lengths of more than three years while G-Cloud services are commodity-based with contract lengths of up to a maximum of two years.
cloudBuy has been approved as a provider for three lots; payment processing and cash receipting systems, housing and property systems, and social care systems.
Shares in cloudBuy were Tuesday trading 2.60% higher at 37.45 pence per share.
