LONDON (Alliance News) - Joules Group PLC on Wednesday announced the appointment of Asda's Nick Jones as its new chief executive.
Jones is currently the head of Asda's food, general merchandise, & George clothing business. Asda is a part of US supermarket chain Walmart Inc.
Jones will start before the end of 2019, replacing outgoing Chief Executive Colin Porter, whose departure was announced at the start of April.
Before joining Asda, Jones worked at Marks & Spencer Group PLC, having joined their graduate scheme in 1995.
Non-Executive Chair Ian Filby said: "On behalf of the board and everyone at Joules, I am thrilled to welcome Nick as our next CEO. Nick's extensive retail, brand and strategy credentials, as well as a clear alignment with the Joules values, made him the outstanding candidate for the role."

Shares were 1.2% lower on Wednesday at a price of 274.80 pence each.
