ClearStar Shares Jump On Its First Facilities Management Contract Win

10th Feb 2020 12:18

(Alliance News) - ClearStar Inc said Monday it has been awarded a contract by an undisclosed facilities management company to provide background screening of service providers entering its healthcare locations.

Shares in the background screening software firm were trading 10% higher in London at 53.95 pence each on Monday.

The company said it expects the contract, which is ClearStar's first contract in the facilities management sector, to generate a minimum revenue of USD400,000 during the roll-out phase this year.

ClearStar did not identify the customer, but said it provides facilities management and maintenance to leading brands across North America, with over 120,000 locations under management, in a range of industries.

The company said it has been appointed to provide background screening for the customer's new programme that requires all service providers to its healthcare facilities to undergo a background check and maintain a virtual ID card.

The virtual ID card incorporates the relevant information from the background screen, thanks to ClearStar's integration with the provider, Virtual Badge, the company noted.

Robert Vale, chief executive officer, said: "It marks a milestone as our first contract in the facilities management industry, which is an area with great growth potential."

"As a result, it has been an encouraging start to 2020 and we remain excited about the opportunities ahead," Vale said.
