(Alliance News) - Clarkson PLC on Thursday announced the appointment of 37-year stockbroking veteran Laurence Hollingworth as an independent non-executive director, effective immediately.
Clarkson is a London-based shipping broker founded in 1852.
Hollingworth is currently the non-executive chair for ABM Communications Ltd, as well as a non-executive director at Recycling Technologies Ltd.
He previous held senior leadership roles at JP Morgan Cazenove and JP Morgan Ltd, including head of UK investment banking, head of EMEA industry coverage, and vice chair for equity capital markets EMEA.
Clarkson Chair Bill Thomas said Hollingworth "has significant and relevant experience, and the board and management of Clarksons will benefit hugely from the strategic perspectives, challenge and insight that he will bring to the business."
Clarkson shares were up 1.7% at 2,085.00 pence each on Thursday in London.
