CityFibre Signs USD7.0 Million In Deals In Milton Keynes, Northampton

11th May 2016 08:50

LONDON (Alliance News) - CityFibre Infrastructure Holdings PLC on Wednesday said it has secured new partners for its networks in Milton Keynes and Northampton, which are part of the 1,100 kilometre national long distance network it bought from KCOM Group PLC in January.

The deals, carrying a combined value of GBP7.0 million over six years, have been struck with Bradford-based Exa Networks, which provides connectivity services to the education and business sectors, and with DBfB Communications, a Northampton-based provider of connectivity, communications and IT solutions to the business segment.

CityFibre said the two partners have committed to provide 500 connections to businesses and schools across Milton Keynes and Northampton.

This is the second deal CityFibre has signed with Exa in the past two months, having agreed a contract to cover connections in the Bradford area in early April.

CityFibre said, since closing the acquisition of the network from KCOM, it has sold 950 connections across five of the acquired metro networks and added GBP15.7 million in initial contract value.

"This latest deal delivers anchor customers in two market verticals, adding DBfB as our 47th service provider partner, and expanding our existing relationship with Exa Networks. The combined contract value of the new business added on the acquired assets to date, including the minimum revenue commitment from KCOM, now totals GBP40.7 million," said Chief Executive Greg Mesch.

Shares in CityFibre were up 1.9% at 60.10 pence on Wednesday morning.
