CityFibre Sees Record Sales From York Network In June

8th Jul 2015 08:20

LONDON (Alliance News) - CityFibre Infrastructure Holdings PLC on Wednesday said its York network project saw record sales in June.

CityFibre, which designs, builds, owns and operates fibre optic networks in a range of cities in the UK, said it signed 70 new connections in the month, for a total contract value of GBP527,000.

The latest additions bring the incremental total contract value for its York project to GBP3.4 million, an increase of 79% over the initial anchor contract.

"These latest sales figures from York are a great validation of the ongoing demand for fibre connectivity to every conceivable category of end user under our Gigabit City model. We started out under the York anchor contract with just 105 connected sites, and this latest set of connections will take us to 348 across the city, or roughly three connections per kilometer of network," said Greg Mesch, CityFibre's chief executive.

Shares in CityFibre were untraded on Wednesday, having last traded at 58.00 pence.
