LONDON (Alliance News) - CityFibre Infrastructure Holdings PLC said Friday that contracted business for its Peterborough city-wide fibre network has doubled in the year to date compared to the level achieved at the end of 2014.
The company said 126 local businesses have entered into network service contracts with CityFibre's service provider partners, which represents 3.2% penetration of the total addressable business market.
The total contract value associated with these contracts is GBP1.7 million, CityFibre said.
"The continued strong uptake experienced in the first half of the year is testament to the impact of both our pre-registration campaign and our strong relationships with local service providers," said Chief Executive Officer Greg Mesch in a statement. "This level of penetration also means we've nearly achieved half of our internal five-year target within the first year of network operation."
Shares in CityFibre are untraded Friday morning, it last closed at 61.20 pence.
