LONDON (Alliance News) - CityFibre Infrastructure Holdings PLC Tuesday said construction of the first phase of the ultrafast fibre optic network it is building in Edinburgh has started.
The company had announced a deal with Scottish business internet service provider Commsworld in March for the first phase of a deployment of fibre network infrastructure in Edinburgh. Under that deal, it will deploy a 50 kilometre network in the city centre. The exact route of the network will be driven by demand.
CityFibre shares were up 1.6% at 65.00 pence Tuesday morning.
