CityFibre Gets First Call-Off Under Capita IT Services Framework

30th Jun 2016 07:43

LONDON (Alliance News) - Broadband network supplier CityFibre Infrastructure Holdings PLC on Thursday said it has received the first call-off of dark fibre connection under its framework agreement with Capita IT Services Ltd.

CityFibre and Capital IT Services, a unit of FTSE 100-listed outsourcer Capita PLC, signed a national framework agreement. The agreement outlines the commercial terms by which Capita IT can access CityFibre's national network.

The initial call-off will see CityFibre connect 109 schools and public sector sites served by Capita.

"We're delighted with this first order from Capita, which again underlines the value of the trading relationships we've established via our various national framework agreements in driving higher utilisation rates across our footprint. We continue to demonstrate that there is huge pent-up demand within the public sector for gigabit speed connectivity to future-proof the infrastructure of public service delivery and education," said CityFibre Chief Executive Greg Mesch.

CityFibre shares were up 3.0% to 61.3 pence Thursday.
