LONDON (Alliance News) - CityFibre Infrastructure Holdings PLC Friday said that Coventry City Council has approved the acquisition of the Coventry Metro Area Network, a citywide fibre infrastructure network.
The network currently connects over 300 council buildings, local schools and libraries in the West Midlands city. It comprises over 140 kilometres of local access fibre capable of gigabit speeds.
CityFibre said it will now negotiate the final contract with the council.
Shares in CityFibre were down 2.1% Friday morning at 70.00 pence per share.
