City Natural Resources NAV Declines Despite Copper And Gold Prices Recovering

19th Nov 2013 15:09

LONDON (Alliance News) - City Natural Resources High Yield Trust PLC posted declines in net asset value per share Tuesday despite copper and gold prices recovering somewhat in the quarter ended September 30.

The company posted a total return of net asset value per share of 1.13%, compared to a composite benchmark index which returned 5.2%. Net asset value per share was 162.2p, up from 163.1 pence at June 30.

Downward pressure on resource prices during the second quarter climaxed in June, City Natural said, as prices on gold and copper recovered. Although this recovered some of the ground lost, Natural said, it was far from all it.

City Natural Resources is an investment trust with a focus on mining and resource equities.
