Circle Oil Poaches Mitchell Flegg From Serica As New Chief Executive

29th May 2015 06:53

LONDON (Alliance News) - Circle Oil PLC on Friday said it has poached Mitchell Flegg from fellow AIM-listed oil and gas firm Serica Energy PLC to be its new chief executive.

Flegg will join the company on June 1 and moves from his role as chief operating officer at Serica. He also has worked for oil services company Schlumberger Ltd in the past and for Enterprise Oil PLC prior to its takeover by Royal Dutch Shell PLC.

Serica didn't say if or how Flegg will be replaced.

"We are delighted to have Mitch as our new CEO and a member of our board. He brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong operational mind-set. I am confident that Mitch will make a significant contribution to the future success of Circle Oil," said Steve Jenkins, Circle's chairman.
