LONDON (Alliance News) - CIP Merchant Capital Ltd said on Tuesday it has made an investment into CareTech Holdings PLC and increased its holding in US medical devices firm Orthofix Medical Inc.
The investment company acquired 950,000 shares in the social care services provider CareTech for GBP3.2 million in total, making CareTech CIP's fifth portfolio company.
For the year to the end of September, CareTech had net income attributable to shareholders of GBP26.5 million and net assets of GBP208 million.
In addition, CIP has bought a further 6,000 shares in Nasdaq-listed Orthofix for USD315,000, bringing its total interest in Orthofix to 112,000 shares.
For 2018, Orthofix had a net income of USD13.8 million with net assets of USD335.4 million as at December 31.
Shares in CIP Merchant Capital were down 1.5% at 67.00 pence on Tuesday.
