(Alliance News) - Private equity firm Cinven on Thursday said it is in the early stages of mulling a takeover bid for AIM-listed Ideagen PLC.
Cinven said no approach has been made to the information management, safety, risk and compliance software provider's board yet.
There is no certainty an offer will be made, Cinven added.
It has until the close of play on May 12 to announce whether it plans to make a firm offer or not.
Ideagen shares rose 1.6% to 253.00 pence each in London on Thursday, giving it a market capitalisation of GBP743.1 million.
