Churchill China Non-Executive Andrew Roper Retires After 47 Years

(Alliance News) - Churchill China PLC on Friday announced the retirement of 47-year veteran Andrew Roper as a non-executive director, effective immediately.

Roper had served the the ceramic product manufacturer since 1973 and held numerous positions including chief executive from 2007 to 2010.

Chair Alan McWalter said: "Irrespective of the role in which Andrew has served the business, he has always applied his considerable talents and extensive experience to the benefit of shareholders, emphasising the need to make decisions for the long term. Andrew will continue to provide support to the business and we wish him well for the future."

The company has started looking for another independent non-executive director.

Churchill China shares were down 0.8% at 1,066.00 pence each on Friday morning.
