LONDON (Alliance News) - China Chaintek United Co Ltd, the Chinese logistics company, Friday said it has made the final payment for the land use rights for ts proposed new logistics park.
In a statement, the company said it had paid a final tranche of CNY54.6 million for the rights. It has paid CNY221 million overall for the rights, plus a deposit of CNY52 million.
The company's existing logistics centre is running at capacity, and the company recently told Alliance News it was even having to turn some new work down because it doesn't have the space to handle it. The new park is therefore key to its future growth.
It is building the centre on a 145,600 square metre plot of land in an industrial zone in Jinjiang, about 14 kilometres from its existing operational headquarters.
"We are very pleased to announce the final Land Use Right payment on the planned logistics park and can now confirm that the acquisition of the site is now complete paving the way for construction to start by the second half of 2014," Chief Executive Xu Meijin said in a statement.
