LONDON (Alliance News) - Chelverton UK Dividend Trust PLC on Thursday said it appointed Andrew Watkins as Non-Executive Director David Harris's successor.
Harris has retired from the board following the company's annual general meeting held earlier on Thursday. Chairman Norman Lamont thanked him for his contributions to the board over the years and wished him well for the future.
The trust said Watkins has over 25 years of experience in various senior roles with Invesco Perpetual, Jupiter Fund Management PLC and Flemings.
He is currently a non-executive director of F&C UK High Income Trust PLC and chairman of Ashoka India Equity Investment Trust PLC.
In a separate statement, Chelverton UK Dividend Trust declared an interim dividend of 2.19 pence per share, up from 2.02p paid the year prior.
The stock was trading 2.1% higher on Thursday at 215.50 pence per share.
