LONDON (Alliance News) - Chariot Oil & Gas said Monday it has hired Chris Zeal as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
Zeal was most recently managing director at Jefferies Hoare Govett - a division of US-based investment bank Jefferies Inc - specialising in corporate broking and investment banking. Prior to this, he held a similar role at Citigroup Inc.
According to Chariot, Zela has over 30 years experience providing advice advice to boardrooms across a wide range of sectors.
Chairman George Canjar said: "On behalf of the company I am very pleased to welcome Chris to the board. His expertise will enhance our decision making and strategic planning. Furthermore, his in-depth knowledge across a variety of sectors, in particular the oil and gas sector, will no doubt prove invaluable as we seek to deliver the company's goals."
Shares in Chariot Oil & Gas were down 1.1% Monday at 9.80 pence each.
