LONDON (Alliance News) - The Character Group PLC said Friday it expects to "at least" meet market expectations for its current financial year to end-August, following encouraging trading in the run up to the 2014 Christmas season.
Character Group said its sales in the current financial year to date are up around 28% compared to the previous year, with strong sales at the consumer level ahead of its expectations in the Christmas season.
The company will be unveiling its 2015 portfolio at the BTHA Toy Fair in London starting next Tuesday. It said it expects its established brands to be enhanced by the introduction of new product lines, such as its recently announced licences for children's brands 'Clangers' and 'Teletubbies.'
"The business is benefiting from the group's stronger offering as a whole and this bodes well for the 2015 calendar year," Character Group said in a statement.
