LONDON (Alliance News) - Fuel cell technology company Ceres Power Holdings PLC on Tuesday said it has completed a manufacturing scale-up project which will boost its production volumes.
Ceres said a new high-speed print line at its manufacturing facility in Horsham has cut its ceramic-on-steel print-cycle time to 3 seconds from 30 seconds previously.
The project was carried out in partnership with ASM Alternative Energy, a screen printing equipment maker, and part-funded by a GBP700,000 grant from the UK government's Innovate UK body.
"This scale-up project represents an important step change in cost that fuel cells need to bring about widespread adoption," said James Falla, Ceres' chief operating officer.
Shares in Ceres were up 2.6% to 5.59 pence.
