LONDON (Alliance News) - Ceres Power Holdings PLC said Wednesday that it had been awarded a grant of GBP1 million for the development of its technology platform from the UK government's Department of Energy & Climate Change under the Energy Entrepreneurs Fund.
The grant is given to support innovation for new low-carbon technologies and the development of associated businesses on a global scale.
Ceres said that this award will help to accelerate the development of its power generation technology for homes and businesses, which provides a lower carbon alternative to grid power.
Shares in the energy products company were trading down 0.19 pence at 7.75 pence Wednesday morning.
