LONDON (Alliance News) - Centrica PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed Kevin O'Byrne and Pam Kaur as non-executive directors with effect from May 13 and February 1, respectively.
FTSE 100-listed Centrica said O'Byrne brings "a wealth" of retail and finance experience and has previously served at real estate investment firm Land Securities Group PLC.
The company also said Kaur's considerable experience of audit, compliance, finance and risk management will be of significant benefit to the board.
Meanwhile, Non-Executive Director Margherita Della Valle will be stepping down on May 12.
"I am delighted to welcome Pam and Kevin to the board as non-executive directors," said Chair Rick Haythornthwaite.
"In addition, I would like to thank Margherita Della Valle for her invaluable services as a non-executive director of the company over the last eight years and, in particular, her chairing the audit committee over the last 6 years," added Haythornthwaite.
Centrica shares were trading 0.9% higher on Tuesday at 134.85 pence each.
