Centrica CFO To Depart For Reed Elsevier

LONDON (Alliance News) - Anglo-Dutch publishing and events company Reed Elsevier PLC said Tuesday that Chief Financial Officer of Centrica PLC, Nick Luff, is stepping down from the utility company and has been appointed CFO at the publishing firm.

Luff will join the firm from UK-based energy firm Centrica where he has been CFO since 2007 before the end of the year.

He will take over from Duncan Palmer, who announced his resignation in September 2013 and will depart once a hand-over period has been completed.

Before Centrica, Luff waas at P&O, the FTSE 100 logistics and shipping group, as well as its affiliated companies, including P&O Princess Cruises and Royal P&O Nedlloyd. While at P&O, he worked for 15 years in various senior finance positions, including CFO of the parent company for 7 years.

Luff is also a non-executive director of Lloyds Banking Group PLC.

In the new role he will join the boards of Reed Elsevier PLC, Reed Elsevier Group PLC and Reed Elsevier N.V., subject to the approval of shareholders, said the company.

Shares in Reed Elsevier last traded at 903.5 pence per share.
