LONDON (Alliance News) - Internet domain names seller CentralNic Group PLC on Friday said it has signed a deal to become the exclusive registry service provider to UK Creative Ideas Ltd, the rights holder for the .ART domain.
CentralNic said .ART will be introduced under a staged-process over the next 12 months.
UK Creative Ideas is a venture designed to bring new technologies to the arts world and is headed by Russian venture capitalist Ulvi Kasimov.
No financial details on the agreement were disclosed.
"We are delighted that UKCI have selected CentralNic as their exclusive registry service provider. .ART has the potential to be one of the great success stories in the restructuring of the internet, and we are proud to be providing the technical platform to support it," said CentralNic Chief Executive Ben Crawford.
