Central Asia Metals On Track For 2018 Guidance In All Three Metals

LONDON (Alliance News) - Central Asia Metals PLC said Thursday it is on track to achieve its 2018 guidance for all the three metal products it produces.

The company which mines copper, zinc and lead from Kounrad in Kazakhstan and Sasa in Macedonia, said it experienced a "good quarter" from both mines.

In the quarter it produced 3,938 tonnes of copper, 5,742 tonnes of zinc and 7,602 tonnes of lead.

So far in 2018, copper produced was 10,686 tonnes, zinc 16,762 tonnes and lead 21,988 tonnes, all at similar levels compared to the prior year.

"Our production figures confirm that we are on track to achieve 2018 guidance for all three of our metal products," Chief Executive Officer Nigel Robinson said.

Central Asia Metals shares were trading up 5.3% at 249.50 pence each.
