LONDON (Alliance News) - Centaur Media PLC's former chief executive, Geoffrey Wilmot, Tuesday said he currently has no intention of making a takeover bid for the business information and media company.
Wilmot said that despite significant progress in talks with finance providers, it had become clear that his views and Centaur's views on the value of the company were very different.
Wilmot's decision follows from a September 24 statement in which he said he was considering an offer for Centaur.
Centaur said it was no longer considered to be in an offer period, following Wilmot's statement.
Centaur shares Tuesday closed at 52.50 pence, up 1.0%
