LONDON (Alliance News) - Gold mining company Centamin PLC said Tuesday it appointed Ibrahim Fawzy as independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
Fawzy held the position of minister of industry of Egypt for three years until 1996 as well as working as cultural counsellor to the Egyptian Embassy in London.
Currently, Fawzy serves as chairman of the Egyptians Abroad Company for Investment & Development, listed on the Cairo Stock Exchange.
Centamin shares were trading up 1.4% at 112.95 pence each Tuesday morning.
