Cellcast Continues To See Lower Demand, Renegotiates Bandwidth Costs

16th Jan 2015 13:16

LONDON (Alliance News) - Cellcast PLC said Friday it has continued to see reduced demand for its core products and services in the UK, and it has been exploring new genres for interactive multi-platform television, with a focus on gaming and gambling.

The chat and adult interactive channel operator said it has completed renegotiations of its bandwidth commitments, which has led to a "material" reduction to its monthly bandwidth costs. It has also agreed a significant reduction in the amounts it owed for bandwidth provision over the previous year.

"We are delighted to have been able to conclude the restructuring of our bandwidth commitments. This marks the final stage in the cost restructuring process undertaken by the company over the last 18 months," said Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson in a statement.

Shares in Cellcast are untraded Friday. It last closed at 0.923 pence.
