CDialogues Pays Maiden Interim Dividend But Sees 2nd Half Flat On 1st

21st Sep 2015 09:21

LONDON (Alliance News) - Mobile marketing company CDialogues PLC Monday reported a rise in pretax profit and proposed a maiden interim dividend for the first half of 2015, although it reiterated that it expects to report a similar second half due to some client projects being delayed.

The company reported a pretax profit of EUR1.4 million, up from EUR1.3 million a year before, as revenue rose to EUR5.3 million from EUR4.0 million, driven by an increased number of projects during the period.

Gross margin reduced to 37.8% from 40.6%, as a result of increased cost of sales as new projects came on stream, the CDialogues said.

The company proposed a maiden interim dividend of 1.25 pence.

CDialogues reiterated that some projects that were due to begin in the fourth quarter have been delayed, and as a result it now expects its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation and revenue in its second half to be in line with its first.

However, the company said it remains confident it will continue to expand its client base, subscriber numbers and geographical footprint, and expects to announce a number of new launches in the coming quarters.

"Whilst it has taken longer than we anticipated to commence some new contracts, we continue to have a strong pipeline of new projects and remain excited by the potential scalability of our services and customer base," said Chief Executive Officer Pale Spanos in a statement.

Shares in CDialogues were down 7.9% at 234.96 pence Monday morning.
