LONDON (Alliance News) - Cash shell Derriston Capital PLC began trading on the London Stock Exchange on Thursday.
A total of 25 million shares were admitted to trading Thursday, although details of the company's initial public offering, including the IPO price, were not disclosed.
Shares in Derriston were up 2.4% at 21.00 pence on Friday following its admission Thursday, giving it a total market capitalisation of GBP5.3 million.
Last week, the Daily Telegraph reported that Derriston is looking to make acquisitions in the medical technology sector. It was set to float with the intention of raising GBP2.3 million. The company is backed by serial British investor Nigel Wray and Stephen Hemsley, the boss of US healthcare company UnitedHealth Group Inc, according to the newspaper.
