LONDON (Alliance News) - Carillion PLC Tuesday said it has won a contract valued at GBP70.0 million by construction value for the second phase of the Aldara Hospital and Medical Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In a statement, the support services company said it signed the contract with the Aldara Medical Corp. It said the new facility will be the largest outpatient centre in Saudi Arabia. It is close to the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre and also Al Faisal University.
"We are delighted to have been selected to deliver this prestigious project, our second hospital project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which offers significant opportunities for growth that contribute to the improving outlook in our Middle East markets," Chief Executive Richard Howson said in a statement.
The project was classified as a "probable order" in Carillion's May 7 interim management statement.
