LONDON (Alliance News) - Capital Drilling Ltd on Thursday said it appointed Michael Rawlinson as an independent non-executive director from Wednesday next week to replace Craig Burton, who intends to step down.
The drilling solutions company said Rawlinson has served as senior non-executive director of silver & gold explorer Hochschild Mining PLC since January. He has over 20 years' investment banking experience with both private and public companies, Capital Drilling said.
Rawlinson was a global co-head of Mining & Metals with Barclays PLC up to June 2017, undertaking advisory roles for mergers & acquisitions.
"We welcome Rawlinson to our board as an independent non-executive director & chairman of our remuneration committee," said Executive Chairman Jamie Boyton.
"I would also like to thank Burton for his valuable contributions to Capital Drilling over the past eight years," added Boyton.
Shares in Capital Drilling were trading 3.7% higher on Thursday at 44.60 pence each.
