LONDON (Alliance News) - Capital & Counties Properties PLC on Tuesday said it has signed a "significant pre-let" at its Kings Court development in Covent Garden, London, with gardening centre and restaurant brand Petersham Nurseries.
The FTSE 250-listed property company said it has pre-let around 60% of the scheme's commercial space to Petersham Nurseries, which will create "new bespoke retail and dining concepts" across four of the units.
Capital & Counties said plans for the Kings Court development include a new public courtyard, 10 retail and dining units as well as 45 premium apartments, opening up the western site of Covent Garden.
Capital & Counties added that Kings Court is on track for completion in 2017.
"We are delighted to welcome Petersham Nurseries to Kings Court at Covent Garden. The Kings Court development is designed to transform the western side of the estate, unlocking the value creation opportunity on Floral Street," said Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer, Soumen Das.
Shares in Capital & Counties were up 1.3% at 333.20 pence on Tuesday.
