(Alliance News) - Capita PLC on Monday said Patrick Butcher has stepped down from the role of chief financial officer effective immediately to pursue other opportunities.
The FTSE 250-listed consulting, digital services and software business stated Gordon Boyd has taken over as interim CFO and will be assisted by Butcher until the end of March 2021 in order to ensure an orderly handover.
Butcher joined the company in 2019.
"Boyd has more than 30 years’ experience at major businesses, including as CFO of FTSE 250 companies. He has significant experience of leading transformation at businesses including power generation company Drax Group PLC, renewable power firm Infinis PLC and British Energy," Capita said.
"I want to thank Patrick for his commitment and support in the delivery of significant improvements over the past two years, especially as we have continued to navigate the challenges and uncertainties brought on by the Covid-19 crisis. I and the rest of the senior leadership team wish him well as he looks to fresh challenges. I am delighted that Gordon is joining us as interim chief financial officer. He brings significant experience of working in companies going through a period of change," added Chief Executive Jon Lewis.
Shares in Capita were trading 0.3% lower at 39.06 pence each on Monday morning in London.
