(Alliance News) - Capita PLC on Monday said it has secured a contract extension with Samsung Electronics UK Ltd, continuing a 14-year partnership and supporting Samsung's customers through artificial intelligence.
The London-based outsourcing company said the agreement is managed through its contact centre division within Capita Experience, which provides customer experience services.
Capita did not disclose the financial terms of the contract.
Capita first began working with Samsung UK in 2011, and in 2016 established a Business Service Centre to support Samsung's business partners with technical support and customer service.
Under the extension, Capita said it will continue to provide voice, email, and social media management for customers of Samsung's electronic products.
Capita said the combination of these technologies will allow for "more personalised and proactive service," improving both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Corinne Ripoche, chief executive officer of Capita Experience, said: "These new contracts further strengthen our 14-year partnership with Samsung, and we will be prioritising innovation and quality to ensure seamless, efficient, and valuable experiences for Samsung and their customers. I am especially excited that we will be driving these experiences via the increased application of technology and AI."
Shares in Capita were down 0.7% at 310.81 pence in London on Monday morning.
