Cape Wins GBP100 Million Two-Year Contract Extension With BP

1st May 2015 06:46

LONDON (Alliance News) - Industrial services company Cape PLC on Friday said it has secured a two-year deal from FTSE 100-listed oil company BP PLC worth around GBP100 million.

The deal is an extension to Cape's existing relationship with BP and will secure around 500 jobs for Cape in the North Sea, including in its access, insulation, coating, passive fire protection and platform services functions.

"We are delighted to be awarded this further contract by BP, which will allow us to continue to invest in our people through our apprentice, intern and graduate programmes. Cape has a longstanding relationship with BP and we look forward to continuing to work with this important client to deliver our critical industrial services across their assets in the North Sea," said Cape Chief Executive Joe Oatley.
