LONDON (Alliance News) - Camco Clean Energy PLC on Thursday said its RedT Energy business has secured an order from Udaras Na Gaeltachta, an Irish state agency for Irish speakers, for a vanadium energy storage system.
The storage system will be used to support a building which will house an 11 kilowatt solar project at the Aughleam Enterprise Centre in County Mayo in Ireland.
No financial details were disclosed on the contract.
Scott McGregor, Camco's chief executive, said the order "is our fifth market seeding unit to be announced focussed on the building photovoltaic sector. This project will demonstrate that commercial buildings can become largely energy self-sufficient with renewable generation technologies and energy storage."
Camco shares were up 6.8% to 6.675 pence on Thursday.
