Cambridge Cognition To Shuffle Leadership Team At AGM

25th Apr 2019 14:13

LONDON (Alliance News) - Neuroscience firm Cambridge Cognition Holdings PLC on Thursday announced a change of leadership at its upcoming annual general meeting.

Cambridge Cognition's meeting will be held on May 23.

Chief Executive Steve Powell will step down from the role, but continue as a non-executive director and as chair. Newly-appointed Chief Operating Officer Matthew Stork will become CEO.

Leaving at the AGM will be current Non-Executive Chair Michael Lewis and Non-Executive Director Nicholas Kerton.

Cambridge Cognition is planning on appointing another non-executive director within three months.

Powell commented: "Mike Lewis and Nick Kerton were both appointed as directors of the company in April 2013 as the company listed on AIM. Mike has been chair of the board since May 2014 and Nick was chief executive officer from September 2013 until the end of 2015."

"Both Mike and Nick retire from the company with our thanks for their service over the past six years."

"Matthew and I have had the benefit of working together for the past few months and Matthew inherits an exciting and innovative business which has made good progress in penetrating its core cognitive assessment and digital health markets," outgoing CEO Powell continued.

"Matthew's experience in healthcare and pharmaceuticals will bring a fresh commercial perspective to the business and we will be working together to accelerate the growth of the business."

Shares were 0.8% lower on Thursday at a price of 65.50 pence each.
