Cambria Automobiles To Beat Market View After Strong Sales Growth

8th Sep 2015 07:17

LONDON (Alliance News) - Franchised motor retailer Cambria Automobiles PLC on Tuesday said its full year results will be ahead of market expectations following a continued strong performance in the second half.

Cambria said trading in the first 11 months of the year to the end of August was substantially ahead year-on-year both in terms of total and like-for-like sales. New vehicle sales were up 9.1% in total, with unit sales to private retail customers rising 9.3% and gross profit per retail unit up 15%.

Used vehicle sales also performed well, with unit sales rising 4.5% and gross profit per unit up 8.1%.

"We are delivering on our plan to grow the group and are continuing to perform well in a strong market. We are very focused on the work required to ensure this continues," said Mark Lavery, Cambria's chief executive.

Cambria shares were up 9.3% to 75.4 pence on Tuesday morning, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share.
