LONDON (Alliance News) - Caledonia Mining Corporation said Monday that it had seen increases in gold production from the Blanket Mine in Zimbabwe during the third quarter.
In the third quarter ended September 30, 12,042 ounces of gold were produced, in increase of 3.9% from 11,588 ounces in the same period the previous year.
Total gold production for the nine months was 34,103 ounces, a 1.4% increase from 33,643 ounces in the previous year. Caledonia Mining has a 49% stake in the Blanket Mine.
Shares in Caledonia Mining were trading down 1.1% at 45.02 pence Monday morning.
