LONDON (Alliance News) - Auto retailer Caffyns PLC Friday reported a jump in car sales and revenues from things like servicing in the four months to the end of January.
In a statement, the company said new car sales were up 9.8%, used car sales were up 21.0%, while so-called aftersales revenues were up by 2.6%.
"The improvement in trading as compared to the previous year has continued in the period. The full year outturn will, as always, be influenced by our performance in the crucial month of March," it said.
The UK car market has two peak sales months due to changes in registration plates - March and September. March is the biggest sales month of the year.
Caffyns shares were down 0.5% at 525 pence early Friday.
