LONDON (Alliance News) - Drinks maker C&C Group PLC said its long-standing chairman, Brian Stewart, will retire in July as ex-Booker Group PLC chairman Stewart Gilliland prepares to replace him.
Stewart - C&C chairman since 2010 - will retire after the annual general meeting on July 5.
Stewart will be replaced by Gilliland who has been a non-executive at the Magners cider and Tennent's lager maker since 2012.
Gilliland served as chairman of former FTSE 250-listed wholesaler Booker between 2015 and its GBP3.7 billion takeover by Tesco PLC in March.
Shares in C&C were 1.7% lower at EUR2.95 on Thursday.
